About Us

FV (Fruit Vision) is a blueberry breeding company set up by experienced and dedicated professionals. We develop game changing blueberry varieties with specific characteristics together with our partners by applying classical breeding methods, modern breeding techniques and careful selection. This process is done in close collaboration of growers, distributors and consumers. The experiences of growers and consumers from all over the world creating the objectives of our breeding program and product development. We develop varieties for no chill and low chill production systems under the brand name Mundo azul®.

Varieties

A wide range of blueberry varieties have been developed by applying breeding and selection criteria with characteristics including profitability, productivity, fruit experience, flavour, shelf life, picking efficiency, moment of production and resistance to pests and diseases. FV is positioned in the forefront of product development in the blueberry industry. We provide multiple no chill and low chill varieties which gives a strong start to find the right variety for each demand.

Research & development

Our team of professionals works on improving the varieties, propagation and cultivation. We use multiple disciplines in plant sciences to create top quality and high yielding varieties. FV intensively tests varieties for the their suitability and adaptation to different climates and regions. Continuously, we’re investigating the optimal growing conditions and cultural practices. This all to give the best advice to the producers and other partners in the soft fruit chain.

Partnerships

Together with our partners we want to actively contribute into the innovation to the world’s soft fruit production and consumption by developing the varieties for profitable, sustainable, healthy and tastfull soft fruit. Therefore, we collaborate and share knowledge actively with all partners in the value chain. FV believes that selecting and testing varieties together with growers, as well as consumers around the world, is essential to develop and provide the best blueberry varieties.

Varieties

FV varieties are known for their no chill and low chill chacteristics for evergreen production systems. The varieties have ultra early to early fruit bearing characteristics and can be used for primocane fruit production. Click on the image for more information.
All our varieties are plant breeders’ right and patent pending. Licenses are required to use or sale plant material.

Career

FV is a new organisation where people enjoy working in a dynamic, international and challenging environment, with plenty of opportunities in the soft fruit and breeding industry.

At the moment FV has no active vacancies but open applications are always welcome for both jobs as internships.

A4 Amsterdam – Den Haag, take the Aalsmeer (N201) exit.
Take the N201 towards Aalsmeer, follow the ring road around Aalsmeer, go through the Waterwolftunnel, and then follow the N201 to its intersection with the N231 (Legmeerdijk). Turn right towards Kudelstaart / FloraHolland. Follow the N231 for about 4.5 km until you reach a location 100 m after the BP petrol station. Turn right and then left onto: Achterweg. After 1 km on the right hand.

A2 Utrecht – Amsterdam, take the Vinkeveen (N201) exit.
Follow the N201 towards Vinkeveen past Mijdrecht and Uithoorn, turn left direction Kudelstaart, FloraHolland onto the N196. Follow the N231 for about 4.5 km until you reach a location 100 m after the BP petrol station. Turn right and then left onto: Achterweg. After 1 km on the right hand side.
